Post

I left a post yesterday about malfunctioning seats although that may just be a symptom. I put a new battery in a newly purchased 1994 Q45 (180k), just because the old battery had 4 years on it. I came home from an out of town trip to find the new battery dead. After a recharge the power seats were not working, but did have a clicking sound coming from under both front seats. Like a cycling relay. The power locks also would not work but the windows did work at the doors. I pulled the power window fuse and the seat noise stopped. I left it out, thinking the battery would not drain. But... this AM the battery is dead again. Any ideas? Any?

Thanks, Jeff

Any sign of a fluid spill or screw holes in the center console area?

I think that the seat switch could be bad, or maybe the the computer under the seat (that controls its movement) is bad as well... Theres also a door computer that could have been damaged as well...

Youll need a FSM to diagnose, please email me and ill hook you up [email protected]

I bet one of those LCM (local control modules, mini computers that feed into hte big one, the BCM) is going haywire......

Thanks. I will e-mail. But I just went out and found everything to be working again. Which is no fun. I'd rather have it broken than intermitant.

Thanks, Jeff

Time to check the connections in the trace path.
