Still looking for engine- end my pain!

So - I'm still looking for a VG30ET for under $600 bucks. One that still resembles an engine, that is Does anyone know of anybody that is selling one, or a company that might have one for a reasonable price for a poor kid? I greatly appreciate any help in advance.-Kev:poke

Hmmm,ATK rebuilds Nissan engines and they are among the cheapest as far as rebuilds go.

My friend just got his for like 400 bucks. He works at a dealership, so his price might be lower, but i can't imagine them giving him 1600 dollars off of an engine. Call them.

Honestly, your best bet would be selling your car and buying a turbo Z. Ask Mattback about converting non-turbo to turbo. Anyone I've heard from who's done the swap said it would have been easier to find a turbo Z.

But there is always the RB20....

Buying another car is out of the question. So is an RB. Turboing my VG30 would also not be legit. (more complicated than just slapping a turbo on a Civic). All I need is a VG30ET engine. Nothing more nothing less. Its basically a drop in, munis a few adjustments- Thats my smartest COA. I called the Z Barn, they are down due to flood damage. I also called KWC engines- They do not have any VG30ET's (wow) and they were only able to offer me a rebuilt one (if I had an engine to send them) for like $550So the search goes on- Any more help would be appreciated.

kevin, for real why not just put it up for sale and buy a turbo version with the money !! ill keep an eye out for a motor for yah... maybe able to work out a deal with a wreck yard !! 200 crap motor to use as a core for the other motor but shipping will be counter productive and end you up back in the thousand dollar range!!

turboing it wouldnt be that hard !! we can get a mani an turbo from a junk yard ! then the ECU and what ever else was differant.. you probably will be running really high compression yah maybe that as a last resort !!

how bout a RB20 to your door for 950$ and youll be able to use the vg30e for a backup motor!

So me and a few others discussed turboing my VG30E, and we deemed it out of the question due to compression problems. So that leads to the only 1 option left- getting a new engine. I'm still looking daily, so anyone runs by a VG30ET, please contact me ASAP.Thanks in advance-Kev

kev, its an old motor hard to find one in useable shape !! it would take some work and research but im sure its possible to get a junkyard motor swap out pistons to lower compression use the manifold and turbo !! yadayda AIM me ill talk to you more about this im down with helpin yah find a decent motor... means more turbo cars in the dayton area!!
