OK, so I recently lowered my car with Tokico Blues and Sportlines, and was experiencing some rear wheel hop when going over bumps. So I ordered subframe bushing collars from SPL (8pc. set) to hopefully solve the rear wheel hop problem. I still am getting the wheel hop what steps do I need to take now to get rid of this hop?

*I just dropped it off a few hours ago to get an alignment, in hopes that it will rid me of some of my hop but prob. not.

What should I do from here?

Also, it seems as tho my rear shocks are already leaking, is it possible that they have blown within 3 wks of being installed?

usually, if your wheel just bounces up and down after hitting a bump, your shock/strut is blown, hence theres nothing dampening the bounce, its just the spring violently compressing and extending.

you said your shock is leaking, that a good indication its blown.

go to the side that bounces, and put your knee on that corner on the bumper, give it nice a shuv to the ground, it should only bounce back up, then down, then bairly up agan.

Yeah, but both rears are showing oil on them, and seem to be leaking, so thats what must be causing the violent wheel hop im getting...?

If you search, you will know many people with Sportlines got blown shocks sooner or later. I think drop is little too much for Tokico Blues. You might want to try other combo such as AGX with GF210, S-Tech, RSR or Prokit. Sportline is the worst among those as far as blowing struts.

Yes, it's possible blowing shocks in 3 weeks.

Well as far as blowing the shocks, is them being blown causing my wheel hop? I mean 3 wks. tho that jus blows my mind, when some people lower on stock struts/shocks and are fine....these were brand new and somewat of a performance shock....3wks. just blows me away.

Is it causing my wheel hop ?

Tokico blues are like a aftermarket OEM shock, meant for stock spring. You should have gotten Illuminas or some other comparable shock.

OK, well it looks like ill be replacing struts on all 4 corners, and I think im gonna go with the KYB AGX shocks, but my main question is, are the leaking/blown struts in the back causing my wheel hop

They probably are because they have no dampening anymore so you're just bouncing around everywhere.

Don't really want coils, it's my DD and I will prob never AutoX or anything like that maybe jus for fun and nothign serious so I would never use the added performance gain.

But, do you guys think that I'm hoppin' all around because of the blown rear shocks?

that would be ur problem, when my struts were blown, it was horrrrible, bouncin like a bicth. u could just get some cheap/used street coilovers or something, but if u replace the struts with the same or stock, u'll definantly be wheel hoppin' again

If they are the reason that I'm hoppin' why would I be hoppin' again if I replace the blown ones ?

Don't worry. You will be alright if you replace blown shocks.

Lol, Sprotlines drop your car a good 2.2 inches in the front I believe. KYB AGX should be able to handle it since it isn't such a stiff spring setup.

So +1 on replacing your blow struts to get rid of that damn wheel hop!

should get rid of the sportlines too, i hear a lot of strut manufacturers dont warranty their products if certain or sometimes all aftermarket springs are used on them.

get some s-techs or get coilovers if you want something that will last any length of time.

You already have subframe collars, so definitely, new shocks and springs will take care of wheel hop.
