Just thinking out loud.
What about a oneway check valve! It seems to me since the radiator is at a higher level than thetranny/torque converter that its going to drain back down because of gravity.

Dodge used to have this similar problem, they installed a one-wayexternal check valve in the transmission cooler line. I know there is knowcomparison between the two vehicles, just a thought.

Does anyone know if there is a one-way check valve in the valvebody of transmission or some other internal part of transmission,i know the Q doesnt have one externally anywhere.

What about the after market coolers , do they have some type of one waycheck valve! its either this or a seal on the input shaft is not sealed,in my opinion!! but im not a transmission master!!

You know, I can't really offer up much in the way of advice on this issue since I don't have a whole lot of transmission experience. I really just want to say it's kicka$$ you took it to the man after that crash. Keep walkin'. Good luck with the Q. If I can think of anything anyone else hasn't yet I'll be sure to contribute.

Chris

Ive been following your posts a little bit and I figure this is my time to chime in. What I would do in this situation is check the pressures on the trans. At the rear of the trans theres 2 or 3 little fittings that you can take off and hook a pressure gauge up to.. Its all in the FSM and how to interprit those results...

If the pressure check out, drive the car and see how it acts... I bet a good 2 hour drive assuming the pressures check out would get things working how theyre supposed to!

I appreciate your tenacity to get this damn car running!

Hey Wes, first of all how ya been doing havent talked to you in a long time!! Hows school going?

Thanks for the posotive input, ive worked too damn hard too damnlong on this car too give up because the transmission wantsto be a mystery pain in my a- -. Wes.......... i have been wanting to ask yousomething, the last time we talked you told me you had a 94 stylebose head unit you would sell me for my 93, AND A 94 style HVAC CONTROL.

My question is, will the 94 style work in my car just by clippingthe different plugs on the back of HVAC and BOSE head unitand snip the ones off my 93 and just wire the 94 plugs on mine?

Will that work? Someone told me they put a 94 HVAC control in a93 by just doing that. Then i heard you cant just change the HVAC control panel, youhave to change the switch or something else, im not sure, do you know!

thanks, CHRIS

Well I guess if one solicits the hijacking of their own thread I'll accept that..

I dont really think you could put a 94 HVAC thing into a 90-93. On the 90-93 the display and the controller are 1 unit whereas the 94 has a display and a seperate control unit. you might be able to splice and dice it together and for someone who is fancy with electronics that may not be a bad idea, but it sounds like a potential nightmare to get it to work, IMO.
