still having cluster problems

i asked a few more people on what my problem could be. Someone said that it could be burnt out. I dont think it is burnt out because then it would never work right? but just the other day it was working so i tested out how fast i could in third gear and what not and realized that i really dont top out at 140kph. But i realized a lil bit later after i shut off my car and the speedo didnt come back on that maybe its really not my speedo. In third gear when my speedo was working i could take it to 6000rpm, but when it wasnt working i could only take it to around 4500rpm. what else could be the problem.

and one other thing. right now when i have to open my passenger door i have to stick my hand in the door and spin the lil piece that unlatches it manually. can anyone tell me which nissans i might be able to get the same latch out of. other than an 89 or 90, cuz apparently only those 2 years had the same doors.

Speedo problem is pretty common. Been mentioned in these forums quite a bit here and in 240 tech. If you have an analog cluster likely its a connection problem on the speedo circuit board. If its a digital dash probably TCU. Do a search of both forums for speedo. Read through some of the various repairs.

As far as your door latch, not sure if newer s13's are the same or not.
