2015 Rogue: seems like my search mentioned a filler tube on top of the motor, but I dont see one or a note about one in the manual. Maybe it was on the older models? I have heard about pulling a filler plug on the side of the trans, but with it running???? And I'd guess that would mean a pump to get some in if necessary. I also saw some mention of fluid changes at 30K- is this interval necessary?

So no one out there can tell me HOW TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL? Or whether it can be added from under the hood?

1) Your vehicle DOES NOT have a CVT dipstick. If you feel it's necessary to check your CVT fluid, you will have to take in to either your dealership or a repair shop that is familiar with CVT's.

2) Stay on topic. If you have an unrelated question put it in another thread. Unrelated content has been removed from this post and added to existing thread on oil changes.

I haven't done it but I was able to find the CVT Fluid Check topic in the FAQ post in about 10 seconds.

So NO ONE on the list can or has checked their OWN transmission fluid level?

I have around 33k miles on my 2016 Rogue, and need to check on the CVT fluid. However, I cannot get the dipstick out, as it is very hard for me to remove/take out (unlike other brands, when it is easy). What tools or techniques should I use to take out the CVT dipstick without breaking anything?
