i just replaced my turbo with a used one i got from heavythrottle. before i changed it, if i was driving for a while or whatever then stopped and let it idel a ****load of blue smoke wreaking like burnt oil would pour out of the exhaust. When i replaced the turbo i got the intercooler and pipes flushed at a radiator shop. The guy said there was alot of stuff in the intercooler. It's been aoubt 4 or 5 days since we relplaced it. it still smokes sometimes when i park and idle, not nearly as much but its still there. Could it be oil that was still gooped up in the intake manifold since we didnt clean that? Or what would the symptoms be for bad rings or valve seals. Im going to try and do a compression test this weekend.

ThanksSean

Maybe you have a bad headgasket??? And cleaning it just removed some of the fluids, but those fluids may comeback if it is your headgasket. Just a thought.......saw the part about the blue smoke and smell.

If your piping was really that loaded I would give it some time for the wet oil to make it's way out of your combustion chamber and IM. Give it like an oil change's worth of time, then start thinking valve guide seals or rings if it's still blowing that much.

Probably just let it burn itself out......don't want to put something else in there and make it worse you know. If it doesn't get better within a week, I would really have everything checked before it causes more damage
