main problem/situation:

start up car in the morning, warm it up for maybe 3 minutes and drive off slowly/normally. i see my gas needle drop like 1/8 of the tank... and im on level ground the whole time, so its not because my tank floater. after it drops and finally settles though... it only budges a little. so probably something to do with when only the car is cold. i lose the most gas when i go to school in the morning

my repairs recently

- seafoamed gas, oil, and intake- cleaned maf sensor / throttle body / intake tube with carb cleaner- R&R spark plugs, wires, o2 sensor (all NGK)- R&R fuel filter with nissan oem z32 filter- R&R dist cap / rotor, EGR solenoid / BPT valve with nissan oem parts- R&R speed sensor with used from junk yard- R&R leaky fuel hose under rear of car

car runs much better, no more CEL, hesitation or bogging, power restored. but i still get ****ty milage. i filled up my car monday night with 13.5 gallons, ive driven maybe about 75 miles since and im a little over the half tank mark. say ill get 160 miles on this tank, divided by 13.5 gallons, that makes it 11.85 mpg...

took car to shop again to check for anymore fuel leaks, none found. things i havent replaced/checked that i can think of that MIGHT cause my poor milage...

- air filter- coolant temp sensor ?- thermostat ?

what else could be causing bad milage ?? i say the last two because of the cold mornings, could they be bad, sending a wrong signal to the car, telling it to dump in more gas than it should ? im tired of speding $30 a week and getting less than 200 miles. i cant keep working with most of my pay going towards gas

if i cant solve the problem, i might end up selling the car because it costs too much money on gas and it seems to be going sour on me... over $750 in repairs within the last two weeks for all the items listed above and needing pads/rotors right now

someone help...

I'd say coolant temp sensor. It's definitely very important to air/fuel mixture. the other two..not nearly enough to cause such bad mileage.

Hmm...you should check your fuel injectors and regulator too. maybe the injectors are leaky?

I owe you one man, that was awesome info you emailed me. If you want to meet up I'll find an FSM and see if I can check the usual suspects for ya. Lemme know!

Agreed, coolant temp sensor problem not uncommon.

el segundo is so far away though...

ill try the coolant temp sensor... anyone else on the other things i mentioned ?
