Dont waist your money on this kit as it really produces no power for the money you spend.I had it from 7/03 til 5/07 and switched to the greddy twins and it was a night and day difference in power.

I had all 4 stages of the stillen and the twins even at 5psi would kill the stillen at 8psi.

While turbos are generally more powerful, the OP lives in CA and had a specific questiona bout getting it smogged. The decisions is ultimately up to him, but he should realize that there are no turbo kits for the G35 that have a CARB EO#. Greddy tried, but all their kits that use the E-Manage failed because the tuning can be changed with relative ease.

Stillen's kit is legal in CA and the stage 2 will pass smog. One might be able to get a Stage 2, and get the EO number. Then upgrade to a stage 3 or 4. Unless the smog station has a way to check which kit you have, its unlikely that they will know the difference.

Ultimately, the decision is dependent on the person's power goals and how much risk they are willing to take with Smog.

That is true but i believe the vortech is legal in Cali and would be a much better option.
