So - Cool I got coilovers -- awesome -- yeah but my car - creaks - bends and feels more like a spagheti than anything else right now...

What did you guys do to stiffen up that chassis...

Nismo Power Brace - DoneMade a huge difference in the way the front of the car feltA must do.

Rear Strut Tower Brace - DoneMade a noticeable diffference in the rear end stiffness

Front Strut Tower Brace - DoneNot much of a difference unless Im really beating on the car.

What options do I have less to seriously increase the stiffness of that car without getting a roll cage

Was thinking of :

Fender BraceDoluck Rear Cross BarDoluck Floor Support BarFoam Filling the FrameDoluck Rear Ladder Bar

Any other idea?

For those of you who have done any of those --- a little review or opinion would be awesome.

What do you guys think about foam filling the frame - what do you know about it ?

Thx -- a 240 owner that wish they used german metal

You forgot to swap out a very important suspension component..... ANTI-SWAY BARS!!! Do your car a favor and get Whitelines or Suspension Technique sway bars. If your going for neutral handling for auto-x and not an oversteer happy drift car I'd go with a new front and rear bar. I got Suspension technique sway bars and handling is amazing compared to stock.

Here's some of my suspension pics just for the heck of it.

i recently put truck bedliner on the floor of my car. that helped tremendously. also consider stitch welding. i hear thats a good stiffening method.

Stitch welding seams is a great way to stiffen up the chassis. The problem is that for a daily driver you need some chassis flex along those seams or your kidneys are going to hate you.

poly foam will stiffen the frame, but it is very hard to do right from what I have heard. It would probobly be the last thing you would do after everything else is done.

Its a hell of a lot less expensive than getting all that do-luck stuff if you got a quality custom buil 6-8 point cage... but i guess you dont want a cage. How about a simple 4 point roll bar? Youre talking about bedliner and stitch welding, which, depending on the extent of the stitch welding.

Also, for bolt on stuff I would suggest shakitto plates, and good bushingless/solid endlinks.

bushing kit, sway bars (progress), tension rods, tie rods, fender braces, etc...

basically spl's catalog

cage, stitch welding, poly foam...these should really be racecar only

you can run a cage on the street but it would have to be a stiffening one, cages built for safety dont work on the street

or get a rollbar

If you've done bushings, links, rods, arms, and sways, do the fender support.

I do agree with you... But a rollcage in a daily driver ???I never had the chance to ride in a rollcaged S13 - I did in an s14 and it was a little annoying I think....

Stitch welding ftw, but not on a daily. No roll cages on a daily either, unless you want to crack your un-helmeted head against it in an accident.
