I have a 2009 Maxima and it has been giving me steering problem.

Steering gets hard after a I rotate the steering wheel from end to end a couple of times(Wheels on floor). At first it's smooth and after the third time it starts getting harder and harder.. I jacked up the car and had the front wheels in the air while the car was running and on drive and the steering is smooth. I changed the rack and the pump cuase at first it did have a leak and the mechanic told me to replace the rack and the pump. So I did. But the problem still remains.

Does the pressure switch has to do anything with stiff steering?
What could be the cause for the stiff steering?



Any help.
