Sticky/tacky steering wheel?

I never noticed it until after I bought it. 13' M37x w/60k. Steering wheel has a slight tacky feel too it. I've tried megulars (sp?) leather cleaner and a Diluted degreaser and a microfiber towel. Some stuff came off, some dirt was on the white towel I used. Neither seemed to do the trick. Mildy annoying. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have the wheat interior.

Sorry to hear this. That would make me bonkers too. Seems the previous owner used some wanky protectant like Armor-all or similar rubbish and it has seeped into the leather and become a magnet for dirt. If you have a steamer, I would recommend using that and immediately wiping with a microfiber towel until the leather pores open enough to allow you to remove it completely.
I. too have whet interior and will never have it again. I have never seen a shade that so easily shows dirt so quickly. Even in the rear seat which is never used, dirt accumulates to a noticeable amount every few weeks.
