Hi,

Does anyone know which component may be causing this problem?

When I just start the car it usually idles at about 2K rpm and then will slowly drop down to 1k rpm and then down to normal idle.

If you blip the throttle it does not drop the idle at all.

Even when the car is hot the idle still sticks and will sometimes fluctuate up and down before going back down to normal

so do you think that the TPS is bad or just needs to be adjusted?

How would I go about adjusting the TPS??

When your car idling up high at 2k have a look at the butterfly in the throttle body. Make sure that butterfly is all the way up against the stop of the idle speed adjuster. If it is then you know it is something else.
