sticky gas

hey guys, I have a 89 s13 and my gas pedal sticks, anyone have this problem? it will stick and I gotta punch it then it will be fine, I sprayed the throttle with wd-40 and that does nothing, what could be the culprit?

Have you adjusted the throttle lately. there is a calibration screw you are not supposed to touch. anyway, you dont want it to be sticking. it could bind.

calibration screw? like to adjust the idle speed? cause I did adjust the idle speed to drop the rpm from 1100 rpm to 700-600 rpm at idle speed

No; there is a screw that adjusts how open the throttle plate is at rest.I would take a tooth brush and carb cleaner and really clean the carbon buildup around the plate.
