Stickers on side of altima from factory simple question

anyone know why these are there and if i can just peal them off?by the back tires

They're supposedly there to protect the paint from rock chips. Yes it seems like an odd place to put them for that reason though. I've heard of others just peeling them off with their fingernail.

My dealership said they were to protect from other peoples door corners and door dings. Seemed too low for me for that purpose, but . I guess I'm lucky they don't look like complete crap on the black.

yes they peel right off with enough effort...

ive had mine off for over 6 months now.. and about 10,000 miles of driving and no chips in those specific areas.

the reason why i took them off is because those 4 spots on the car stood out when the car got dirty... only blended in when i washed the car.... so off they came. rather smart decision i thought hehe
