so im planning on stich welding my chassis. and i seen the guy i bought my car from 2 years ago(he was surprised i still hadn't wrecked it, im thinking bish!) anyways, i tell him my plan of ka-t and stitch welding my chassis. he starts knockin on my idea, saying its bad for a DD, and if it was a track car then its ok and blah. so im wondering if anybody knows what he means by its bad for DD. i've read up on some threads on here with ppl doing it. saying it makes the car more rigid, which is what i want. but him saying that to me makes me wonder. could it be bad? my plan is pretty much a ka-t drift ready s13.

If you crash it...no one will want to fix it.

well i dont really plan on taking it to body shops for anything unless the person that hits me insurance is paying for otherwise i fix it myself. and hell if the damage isnt to bad i just buy what i need and fix it myself anyways.

As far as I know stitch welding also sort of gets rid of the crumple zones that help you in a crash. So on a street car where good chance your not wearing a helmet and strapped in with a harness and cage, the car will be more dangerous. But just don't crash and you will be good. :bigthumb:
