I edited it, I wonder if Beanor is going to get me for messing with his work. It failed to mention that if this is not done correctly transmission damage will result. The chatter should not be fullly taken out in most cases.

Ok Steve. One more. What are the measurements for the clutch mater cyl rod supposed to be. I want to reset all my adjustments back to stock to try and eliminate the problem we have been talking about.

I really do not know. I have looked through the ESM and I cannot find it. I will see if we have one in stock and I will measure it out of the box.

well heres the thing, whenever a master cylinder is put in clutch rod length should be set, most of the time there is no problem out of the box (same thing with brake boosters and the likes of) Basically it is going off of feel, since your a tech and probably have done this adjustment before on your cars (if its applicable) it should not be a big deal. Find a stock G or Z of your year and go off feel that way, that is how i have always done it and will continue to do it.

Steve there probably isn't a measurement in the manual for the reason of it being a feel issue, or the fact you shouldn't be fu*cking with it in the first place

DSM's (Eclipe,Talon,Laser,Galants) have a measurement from the outer most edge of the master cyl to the middle of the clevis pin. This way you have the pedal at the correct heigth, so it doesn't release too high or not have enought depressed lenght to completly disengauge the clutch.

i understand some cars do, i also understand some cars don't....which is why this perticular car you shouldn't mess with its like that for a reason. go off feel of another g or z with a working clutch that is good and you will be fine i assure you that, you won't be finding a measurement in the esm about this i looked myself today and nothing.

fbpem1 thanks. I checked on ALLDATA last night and they have nothing on it either. I guess then if you or Steve can measure on the next time you work on one would be great.
