Hi guys, hope all is well. Daughter came home, to have her laundry done of course and get ready to go back to school, and thought I better take the J out to see how its running. Seems good for the most part. Only issue is have a little play in the steering wheel. Can move it about a 1/2 inch either way before I continue with the movement to turn and it reacts. Should I worry or is there an easy adjustment to correct this? Typed in Steering wheel in search but did not see anything related. If so, just post the thread. Thanks.

Check for play in the outer Tie Rod ends.
If one of those breaks it will be one heck of a hairy ride !!

Yoda, thanks for response. Ok, here is the big question, On checking for play, what should I be looking for and where? What would determine if play, by moving something physically or jacking up and then seeing a loose part somewhere. Sorry for getting old. You got me panic'd now and she is going to be taking the car back to the shore later today. Thanks.

If you jack the car up and move the wheel left and right see if there is play in the tie rod ends.
Also check for dry rot
