I have the Kenwood DDX7019 double din dvd player and i was wondering if it is at all possible to hook up the integrated controls on the steering wheel up to it. or does it automatically work when i hook it up?

i know what im doing when it come to hooking this stuff up, but i have never had a car with the steering wheel controls so i have no idea what its gonna do, and i just wanna know before i put the double din in.

also, in order to put the tv in, i have to get a new a/c unit and everything (as some of you may very well know) and the cheapest i could find for the new a/c controls and the bracket was around $280.. does anyone know where i could find it cheaper? besides ebay?

$265 at Grubb's Performance for the finisher and controls. Not much but it is cheaper.

You'll have to buy an adapter to keep the steering wheel controls.

as for the steering wheel controls...there are adapters that will work, assuming your deck can take the input

its a 1/8th in. pin input signal that controls it.

Price varies...expect to spend up to $100 for it.

The JDM double din kit you can also buy from riverside infiniti if you call them. Riverside California...

What do you want to know, there's a few of us who are pretty good at this stuff. There's also a forum for this stuff under the Technical section.

Pac Audio makes the SWI-JACK that should work with any kenwood unit that has a wired remote input. Though, reviews of this part indicate that you may have to hold the buttons a little longer for it to respond. I used an SWI-X which is an infrared version of this and it didn't require me to hold the button, but had a half second delay between when I pressed a button to when it would send the signal. It's the only solution I am aware of.

Eddie.. its kinda crazy you replied to this thread.. I am actually going in for a couple interviews on Tuesday to Pepsi and another company. Im trying to move to Salisbury by the first of May. maybe we could get together sometime with a couple other G's in the area, if you know anyone. And do you know any good audio/video places down there, or any good body shops?
