I'm looking into replaceing the speakers...I have the factory non-bose head unit...I know from crutchfield they are 6.5 front and rear....My car has the seperate components in the front doors....

Can someone tell the exact size for replacing the front speakers....I would like to replace the exact size...What size tweeter do i need to order to drop right in?

The rears i assume just a standard 6.5" ....

Do the door panels need to be removed for replacement?

I see from in the truck the hardware for mounting speakers comes from the top...Can i just pop the covers off the speakers to remove hardware and speakers?

I'm unsure of correct speakers to buy to run with stock head unit...I dont want to buy a speaker that needs to be pushed with an amp...

Can the factory speaker wire be reused with aftermarket speakers?? ( with the correct ends put on)...

With the factory wireing how do you know whats + and -...For wireing new speakers?

Sorry for the Noob questions...Been a while since i messed with this stuff...

front-door panels have to be removed.

rear- the rear seats have to come out, then the decklid can pop out

broadfield may step in here, he will steer you in the right direction

If you have tweeters in your doors, either you DO have OEM bose or someone added tweeteres

Can someone tell the exact size for replacing the front speakers....I would like to replace the exact size...What size tweeter do i need to order to drop right in? 6.5"

The rears i assume just a standard 6.5" .... same as the front. standard 6.5"

Do the door panels need to be removed for replacement? YES

I see from in the truck the hardware for mounting speakers comes from the top...Can i just pop the covers off the speakers to remove hardware and speakers? answer posted above

I'm unsure of correct speakers to buy to run with stock head unit...I dont want to buy a speaker that needs to be pushed with an amp... just buy some replacement speakers, not a component set unless you plan on running an amp

Can the factory speaker wire be reused with aftermarket speakers?? ( with the correct ends put on)... YES

With the factory wireing how do you know whats + and -...For wireing new speakers? when you unplug the speakers, one side will be + and one will be -, I.E. there will/should be labels on the speaker

If you have any problems, just post some pics or something. I troll the forums every day. I will try and help you

I looked all over the head unit and it dosent say bose anywhere....So i guess someone added tweeters...I know theres no amp anywhere but the front speakers sound good...I will take some pics this weekend, just to verify what i have....

take one of your front door panels off and take a pic of the speakers, also take a pic of the bottom area of the rear speakers(from the trunk)

Door and rear are both 6.5" - the door speakers are set in an adapter that will need to be re-used - it's a bit of a pain to remove the OEM speaker from that, but you need it...

On speaker selection: http://mobile.bostonacoustics....seq=1 not cheap, but truly awesome set up.
