Hey guys,

Any thoughts of interesting ways to install a car stereo? I'm thinking of building a center console that would sit in front of the heater box. Has anyone tried this?

i havent tried that but it sounds like a good idea. in my l320 i plan on removing the inside of the glovebox and making something out of 16ga sheetmetal that bolts in place and the deck mounts too and has a little slot to store paperwork. when you close the glovebox door, its hidden. in my nl320 i am going to build a center console that flows into the dash and getting rid of the heater.

I was just thinking of building the center console because there is room there... Plus it could be removed later and the only damage done would be a couple of boltholes in the hump...

Also... Does anyone else think it is funny that there are so many ads for Hummers on this site? Here we are driving what has to be the smallest pickups ever built and they are trying to sell those monstrocities to us. No wonder GM is having problems.
