I recently bought a Qx4, and I am dissatisfied with the 6cd in dash reciever. I plan on swapping it out with maybe an in-dash lcd reciever, or maybe just a cd/mp3 reciever.

After lots of searching and forum posts, I finally found a guide on how to remove the dash panel to get to the reciever on my 2003 Qx4. The screws are hidden behind the center vents.

This guide applies to 01-03 Qx4 and Pathfinders. And also contains a guide for the 96-00 (but are much easier to find). It was not specifically designed for stereo installation, but in the process of adding the phone mounts this company supplies, you must remove the stereo cage/dash. They even include some nice pics of where the clips which hold the vents in place are located
