Frank,If you want to get something locally, there is a place called King Kong Electronics on Harwin (Galleria/SW side). I bought all of my electronics stuffs from them. You'll be able to get the car stereo stuffs for about 50%-70% compared to the prices from Best Buy/Circuit City. Just don't pay the price that they quote initially if it's too high compared to eBay. Basicly, if you see a headunit for sale on eBay for $100 (should take shipping charge into consideration because some of the eBay sellers charge high shipping fee) then you shouldn't pay more than $100-$110 at King Kong.
You should know what you want and its price before going there so you won't have to over pay. Their address:

$120 shipped. Paid close to $400 when new. It will come in the original box with manuals and remote.

I've been having dreams of a BMW lately. Back in the day I was highly impressed with a friend's 1984 5-series. The car had close to 300K and was still tight...as in steering, suspensions etc. That's at a time when many other automobiles would feel sloppy over 100K. Nowadays the differences are not so glaring at high mileage as many other makers have caught up in quality and tolerances, however, you still can't beat a driving machine for sheer handling as far as run of the mill production cars go.

Do you mean the mounting side brackets from my old radio? I believe I did have to use those to mount this unit. Not sure If I'll need them yet though.
