I posted this in the j30 thread, but didnt get an answer to this part, just the other part i put in. hopefully i can get a somewhat final answer to this in this thread. and i have searched on here and google for similar problems.

i got a '95 infiniti j30 used, ofcourse, from my friend. first problem is the stereo wouldnt turn on, blown fuse. with that problem taken outta the way, the problem now, is that it sees whenever theres someone in the passanger seat, the radio will cut in and out when it chooses. then again at times when im alone in my car, it cuts in and out on its own. at one point, just the fm would cut out, but the cd player and tape deck would work, now its at the point where that the cd player wont read any cd's(retail or burned). and the radio still cuts in and out at random times. ive had ppl tell me this is a problem from the wiring. then again, thats a lil hard to believe cuz i dont think that a faulty wire would make the cd player not read cd's. im strong at believing that the stereo itself is bad. anyone every some across this problem at all??? btw, its the stock bose system.

Get a new HU, the J30 head units are crap.. Any nissan bose HU will work, btu youll probably need an adapter that converts the old to new...

BTW, dont cross post like this. Not a big deal, but dont make it a habit

srry about cross posting. its just that on my other post, i was getting responses about the extra wires in the trunk, no actual advice on the stereo problem. for now, ill just have to get my computer speakers hooked up to my power inverter and my cd player, use my ghetto-fied sound system.
