Ok I have a 90 240sx. I took the old radio out and the wiring harness was cut. but i was stupid and didn't look at what was hooked up where.

No I can get the radio to turn on. but nothing holds memory. the clock will work but when I turn it off it loses the time. the interior light will only work with the key turned foward. The radio won't remember anything either.

It wasnt like this before. I really need some help. there is like 5 red wires and 4 blue wires and I cant figure out where the hell they go.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to find the hot wire in the harness that connects directly to the battery, that is your memory wire. Hook it up to the yellow wire on your head unit.

Go into our car audio forums and search for the S13 wiring diagram. Real easy, I had the same problem with my S13 when I got it. I HATE people who chop harnesses, lazy bungholes.

I'm moving this to the audio forum.

Mark knows his sh1t, hopefully he can help, and I'm sure he'd appreciate more traffic in the forums anyways, LOL

Your 12v constant wire is not hooked up to a constant source. Find the wire; on a 90 240sx it should be a red wire with black stripe going to the radio. Hook that up to the yellow wire from the new radio harness. This wire caries 12 volts to the radio even when the car is off. The radio needs constant power to save your presets, volume, equalizer settings, clock, radio settings, etc. Make sure you test the wire with a voltmeter first to make sure its the correct wire and that it is getting a constant 12 volts with the key off and on.

Honestly I could care less about the memory on the radio right now. It's more the seatbelts dome light and clock that I am worried about. none of them work! and I can't find a diagram for it anywhere.

You cooked a fuseable link or two. Check the underhood fuse box and look at the big funny looking fuses. Your problem should be one of those.

Nope, nothing is holding memory including the clock, so switching wires won't fix it.
