Hi Guys,

I've posted a similar topic in the Infiniti forum, but may be this is the right place.

I have a 2011 M37S, European version.

Several weeks ago my Stereo/Navigation Unit just refused to read the music from my USB Flash. I've started to investigate and understood that the problem is not only with the USB Flash, but also with the Music Box, CD Player and the Navigation. Phone and Radio works.

The system restarts several times a day.

First thing I'v tried was to remove the negative battery terminal for 2-3 hours. Nothing happened, even the radio stations memory was not erased.

Second thing was to open the System Diagnostic Menu, but "Self diagnosis did not detect any error".

Then I went to the local dealer, they did something for 2 hours and told me that the AV Unit has to be replaced. The price is around 6000 USD (with 20% discount :-)) and 80 USD for the replacement. Of course that is not a solution, so I am looking for a second hand AV Unit.

I've disassembled the AV unit (Thank you Ilya for the how-to-guide!) and found the number. It is 25915-1MF2C. So I have to find a replacement. Unfortunately there are not so many crashed M37s in my country from the same year, actually I couldn't found any. So I have few questions I hope you can answer me:

1. Can I replace this unit with the unit from M car from 2012 or 2013 year?
2. Is it mandatory to be M37 or I can look also for M35h or M30?
3. Is it possible to replace the unit with the unit with the same number and from the same year, but from FX37 or even from Nissan Murano? This cars have the same 25915-1MF2C AV unit.
4. Can I replace 25915-1MF2C AV unit with the 25915-1MF2E (which is his replacement) or even with 25915-1MK2A (which replaces 25915-1MF2E)?
5. Can I replace only the Hard drive with the same drive from other car?

Thank you in advance!
