Stereo Installation questions

I'm attempting to install an aftermarket head unit but I've run into a problem. The head unit's bolt holes do not line up with my Z's JDM climate/stereo mount. I'm not sure how to go about attaching it. The car is RHD so the Metra faceplate is of no use to me.

Another note: Crutchfield sent me a Floating Ground box to wire in. Has anyone run across or used one of these?

You can create a custom plate, that is what the stereo shop did for mine as nothing would fit in there directly.
