I am going to install an Alpine stereo and different speakers into my '92 M30. These came out of a different vehicle that I owned. I would like to completly bypass the Bose amp and directly wire to the speakers.

Anyone have any links or pics that show this being done? I haven't really looked at the dash yet, is it a difficult removal of the stereo? Will a standard single DIN fit into the stock stereo slot or will I need to order a dash pocket?

Thanks

my stock stereo was a single din, and it has a pocket in it. u will probly need to get one for it if u dont have it already. are you going to figure out the old wiring and use that or are u jus gonna run new wires or maby even run a multi chanel amp to power each of the speakers, theres so many ways to go when putting new stereo's in a car

As far as wiring goes, the two smaller wires in the harness of 4 at the speaker are your signal wires. Just cut them, extend them, and hook them up to your new speaks and it will work great.

I have a single DIN in there now so i'm hoping I can use the pocket that I have. I'm going to try to figure out the original wiring to make the job easier.
