It's a piece of cake, and only took me and a friend around 30 minutes. Make sure you have a new gasket set, simple tool set including a torque wrench (you will need as low as 8ft/lbs, and as high as 100ft/lbs, so it may be two torque wrenches), and a big 22 or 24 mm socket (I think). Note: Nissan recommends going with all new rockers, but I think they are just after the $12-15 ea. on that whole set.
-Disconnect breather tube on the cam cover, remove spark plug wire holders, and remove the cover, which is only 8 bolts.-Once the cam and rockers are exposed, loosen but do not remove the big cam sprocket bolt. Then remove the 10 long bolts that hold the rocker shaft assemblies, and cam retainers/towers.-This is where your friend that owes you beers comes in. Have him hold the cam sprocket by the holes to prevent it from falling into the timing cover while you remove the now loose cam sprocket bolt. Now remove the camshaft.-Install is, you guessed it, reverse of removal. Make sure all the rockers set back in straight, the cam retainers must go back in their original places, and torque the big sprocket bolt to 100ft/lbs, rocker assemblies to 28ft/lbs in a cris-cross pattern from the inside out, and in several stages of tightening, and the cam cover to 8ft/lbs. -ECU may be reset for relearn, or just wait for it to readjust itself over the next week or so.
Good luck.
