hi i was wondering if someone would instruct me on how to bleed the air inside the coolant system for my 95 240sx se i am having overheating problems and i want to try this out.. whats happening is when i start driving for about 3 minutes the tempature gauge moves up.. then while i was at a stop sign the tempature gauge really arose to H... i replaced the thermostat... and also the radiator cap .. but i was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what i can do... any help would be appreciated thanks... =)

you might try the 240 forum also, do a search, i believe this is very common. I have a 95 alty [ka24de, i think you have the same engine...] and i have had air in the head before following drain & fill. make sure your heater is full open at the contorl valve. Best success I've had is to fill with the car in my driveway. there is a slight uphill slope, and so with the fill neck at the highest point [altitude] the air seems to purge out pretty well during the fill.

thanks jay! i love to see folks helping out like that. jay is right on the money. i reccomend using oem thermostat. i have seen aftermarket ones even big name aftermarket ones cause the exact problem you have.
