I know there are the basic run down posts of how it should be done. But what I'm looking for is something more detailed, something I can feel safe knowing that I'm hooking up all the wires/hoses correctly and at the right places. Also knowing that I won't have spare hoses, wires, or bolts when I "think" I'm done, then only to run down a check list when I could have done it the first time. I'm swapping a s14 KA into a s13, and I've already found this much zerothread?id=138144 . I just need to know a little more detailed info as far as taking the old motor out and putting the new one in goes. Thanks all.

It's pretty self-explanatory, really.

Take off intake and downpipe.Separate driveshaft.take off heater hoses, ac compressor, power steering lines.Unplug everything.take off fuel linestake off water lines.

when everything is separated, unbolt the transmission crossmember and the engine mounts, and take out motor. Take it out slowly so you can look around for what you forgot to unplug. Its not very complicated. Having said that, I've been lucky to have never had to replace my motor.

So I'm taking this from a guy who has never replaced a motor?

But thanks though!
