I am looking for a step by step amp install instructions. I want to do a good job on this and do not want any wires showing but the one that run to the sub in the hatch. I installed the amp and sub i had in my 04 Mustang but i am trying to figure out several things like how am i going to run the remote wire and the rca's and the power wire and hide them. I hope someone can help. Thanks

First off, do you have the sedan or hatchback? I have an 08 sedan and I did my own amp install. It's not too bad, and most of the plastic trimpeiices that you need to route the wires under just pop right off.

tons of people on the forums have posted on how to do an amp install. I have the sedan, so I don't know how much help I'll be. The wiring should be pretty easy, since our cars are like 80% plastic panels. Allthe panels along the doors pop right off, so just pop them up and then shove the wires under the carpet. Power and turn on lead go down the drivers side, audio cables go down the passenger side. What kind of system are you putting in?

I have a 10 inch duel voice coil kicker Competition Subwoffer already in a box that was in my mustang and a 250 Watt MTX Thunder Amp. So i just figured i'd run 8 gauge.

8 gauge should be easy enough to run. The only real hard part is going through the fire wall.

I did mine mysellf, but for all the frustration it caused me, I wish I had just paid someone to do it. Plus, it took me like 6 hours to do the amp, hu, and door speakers. Car audio shop probably could've done it in just a couple hours. Plus, if anything goes wrong, its on them, and not you.
