Thought I'd share this with you all. This is the first modification I have done to my newly purchased 1991 TT.
The stock rear spoiler was in terrible condition, with the foam all waterlogged and disgustingly dirty. The hatch hydraulics wouldn't even hold the weight.

This process was made so much easier due to the fact that I did NOT want to preserve the wing, it's not worth it.

Wasn't pretty at first, and had a few hiccups along the way but, overall came out OK. Buying a replacement fiberglass spoiler from IonicDynamics when I can. Enjoy the photo journal!

Any thoughts of going with a different spoiler?
I am thinking of replacing mt TT spoiler with my Powertrix one when O get my rear 1/4 work done (spoiler is JUST beginning to bubble in a couple places) and like the lower profile look and less bulkiness- looks more like a true spoiler IMO.
On my NA, old pic:

I've looked around a lot, and can't seem to find a spoiler that I really like a ton. Which is funny because I'm not incredibly stoked on the OEM spoiler either.
The powertrix (mission i think it's called) is pretty sweet indeed. I like the flush look. Problem is they don't make them anymore. They were a limited run.

Correct, they call it the Mission style.
I'd call Charles at Powertrix as I seem to remember that they advertised some fiberglass ones left available during the Christmas/BF sales, and they may still have one around...and knowing Charles, he'll do his best to hook you up!
Worth a try and you'll enjoy talking to Charles, guaranteed.

That would be awesome brother. I'd definitely be interested. Love the clean look of those. Almost Aston-Martin like.
