Well, my steering wheel is perpetually ****eyed, a couple inches one direction or another. I had a four-wheel alignment done, and I guess it helped that problem slightly.

What happens is, after making a left turn my wheel stays pointed slightly to the left. After making a right turn, it stays pointed to the right.

What could be going wrong?

Thanks,-Jesda

tie rod ends. I had the same thing... I thought it was tire pressure at first, or allignment also- but it was weird cause it was always pulling in different directions...

Take your wheel off and take a look at your tie rods, if they're your culprit they should be pretty obviously worn.

I had the same symptoms a few years ago. It was the rubber bushings holding the steering rack. They were old and worn, and allowed the rack to shift side-to-side a few inches... Cheap fix. Good luck!

Well its at the point now where its terribly annoying, and its time to fix it. When you say its a "cheap" fix, what numbers are you estimating? I'll be sure to call my dealer Monday, but Im curious as to how much it was for you.

Thanks!-Jesda

Just one [actually 2] of [almost hundreds of] rubber bushings/mounts/hangers suspension isolators, etc., that need changing every 6,7,8 years.

The rubber and non metallic things are always the first to fail [before the metal].

Dennis:

I want to aggressively attack my cold weather sqeaking.

What kinda bushings (other than FSB bushings which are new from T3) should I replace.I am also getting new rack bushings ( maybe a new rack as well.)

Fred...:)

Is this something I can do myself with basic tools and jack stands?
