Steering Wheel Upgrade?

Does anyone know if you can switch out a stock steering wheel with only cruise controls on it for a stock one with audio and cruise controls and it be a simple switch?

Would there be any problems with the airbag?

Or would it not have the right wiring if it didnt have that convience pkg or whichever one it comes with?

No dealer will approve doing a steering wheel change - you run risks of screwing with the airbag. (I asked to put a maxima one in, same thing pretty much, but they wouldn't). You can always take it to an independent shop, but you run the airbag risk...

The wiring would also have to be routed from the radio, and that might not be possible if it does not exist - the Doc or Applebonker could speak more to that I am guessing.

My bet is on no - simply because of the safety factor.

haha, well then...i didn't think to check that post because it was about changing the colors of the lights, not phyiscally changing the steering wheel....o well.

Yea you can, I did. The wheel itself is the same, the buttons are attached to the airbag not the wheel.
