i want to get an after market steering wheel/ hub (Detachable), cause i heardit increases steering responses.

Get the L2 quick release. It's what everyone has because it's cheap and solid. Check out phase2's site to look at it.

Personally, I have a Momo Hub, L2 quick release and a 350mm Momo Race wheel. I like the smaller wheel, but anywhere between 340 and 370 or 380 is pretty good.

i cant think of a reason an aftermarket wheel would increase steering response. i guess you mean a smaller steering wheel? l2 hub is good, i use one myself. got it from http://www.splparts.com. if you can, try to get a suede wheel and some driving gloves. makes it much harder to loose your grip on the wheel.

Im looking at the detachable hub, mainly to get the wheel closer to me because I have long legs, which makes heel/toe a biatch with the steering wheel at stock placement.

L2 huh? Ill check it out.

I'm with skillzilla on that one. I'm only 6'2", but can't get seated in the correct driving position without bumping my head against the ceiling. I think I could lean back a little better and get headroom if I added a couple of extra inches onto the steering hub. A smaller diameter steering wheel would also give me some knee room. It's a pretty good anti-theft device as well.

How difficult is this install?

not hard to install, i have the L2 and used a hub and steering wheel (we think its Nardi personal) off a buddys RHD clip, its tooo tall for me so im looking for a shorter hub. on s14s u have to remove the airbag but thats not hard, T50 tamper-resistant torx bit after waiting for the airbags to lose their reserve charge and your good to go.
