So with that being said I have tryed to install a Grant wheel but the adapter dosent fit the colum and after I bought everything I found out that they dont make a kit for the truck...Epic fail.Does anyone make a kit?? I have heard that the s14 colum's are the same is this true, any help would be much appreicated. thanks

I have read about issues with the Grant adapters and the number of splines on the HB column. I don't know of an adapter that works at this time. Sorry. Perhaps another member can help out here.

Get a leather one from a Pathfinder.
The leather wheel I'm using came from a Maxima.

On a related note, Im looking for one that has slightly more dish and/or slightly less diameter. I have long legs and no tilt, could use a bit more room :)

Until you find one do what i did to keep hands clean, cover the wheel with a roll of black tape and toss on a cheap 8 buck wheel cover from wal mart to keep hands clean until you find the best nissan wheel from junkyard to replace the old one. 10 buck fix to make it clean to drive :)

I had the same problem with my steering wheel because its cover was coming apart, and I bought the Grant steering wheel and had no problems replacing it. What exactly is the problem if you can tell?

You are correct about better the size of the wheel to be smaller because the space of the interior of the cabin is very tight. I bought the 15" diameter one, the only problem is that sometimes the chrome spokes reflect the Sun light straight to your eyes when driving. Another problen is that sometimes -it happened to me twice already- you honk and the horn cup comes out and you must disconnect the wire until you can pull its fuse and reinstall back the horn cap.

At the end, I'm happy with the replacement anyway, these steering wheels are not expensive.

Here is a picture of the Grant steering wheel in my truck.

By the way, one day the steering wheel pulley went bad, stop turning and the belt burnt, so I removed both. As I needed to move the truck inside my alley and I had hard time trying to turn the wheels, a friend -who had nothing to do that day- offered his help. I'm not malicious but I saw the opportunity to have some laughs, so I asked him to drive the truck inside the alley while I was pulling out the other vehicle. When I parked the other car in the street, I saw him suffering trying to turn the wheels but he did it at last. When he came out of the truck, he made a comment saying that these "small steering wheels" are hard to use... I can't hold it anymore, I laughed for a while and later I explained him what was the problem... and to aleviate his face telling me in silence "you m*th#r f*#~#*" I opened some beers, and we were drinking while replacing the pulley and installing the new belt...

I had the same problem with the horn button on other grant wheels. I found out that I didnt have the horn button completely mounted on the disc. It will seem like its on there but its not. When it completely seats it will give a good snap noise. Took me at least 3 years till I figured it out.
