steering wheel still shaking

i got a 92 240. new shocks/springs, new tc rods, new outer tie rod ends, inner tie rod ends look fine. and tires and balanced even though front tire thread is not even. sterring wheel shakes after 60 mph and gets more violent. what could it be?

I had shake at 65mph. Changed the balljoints and tie rod ends and it went away.

Actually I changed both front lower control arms since PDM had a deal on them. Now I got spares

even if your tires are balanced, if the tires are uneven/flat spotted it will still shake.

might look into a new pair of tires.

forgot to mention this also does this on my track tires too

my tire has a small flat spot from when I was learning Z brakes and I did some weird plow brake lock thing.

my wheel kind of shimmys at 60....

A shake is something loose if its not the tire.

Are your wheels hub centric? If not hub centric rings may be a cheap remedy to your problem.

My car used to shake between 65 and 75 because my wheel was not centered on the hub. Hub centric rings tamed the shake down to a shimmy. The shimmy is do to a "z brake" flat spot.
