steering wheel squeeking noise!

when ever i turn my steering wheel it squeeks i tyhink its just rubbing into the dash but how can i stop this from hapining!

Are you sure its coming from inside the car. If you are running low on powersterring fluid your powersterring pump outside the car maybe making the sound.

yea I agree, it might be your power steering, but then again check your axels.

Axles? In the front? Of a 240? Somebody want to enlighten me on this new FWD 240SX?

anyone find a fix for this? the 240 i'm looking to get makes that rubbing noise too. it sounds like the plastic behind the steering wheel is rubbing against dry plastic on the rest of the steering column.

Try taking off your steering wheel so that you can get to the surfaces which are rubbing together. then, use armorall or whatever, or something else like that, even vaseline if you wanted, to lubricate it. or maybe some screws that keep your dash down are a little loose, causing it to be too far forward.
