I have the Exit Steering wheel feature enabled where the steering wheel moves up and away when you exit and back to memory when you start the car.

Now when my Steering wheel goes up or down It sounds like Mice are in there spinning the wheel to make the motor go up and down...

How do I kill the mice and make it quiet again...

Like a creaking noise? Your covers might be coming off...we had another post about that a few days ago.

Here's the other post. steering-wheel-rubbing-plastic-housing-t609452.html

I think a stop wore out or broke on mine and it would raise up a little too high. The lower steering column cover would catch on a metal bracket inside the dash as it came back down. This pushed the plastic into the back of the steering wheel causing it to rub. Not sure if that is the same issue but if you pull both covers off the column you will be able to see the threaded rod and motor that adjusts the wheel. That may give you a better idea of what is causing your noise. Once you have the covers off you can remove the switch from the lower cover and plug it back into the wiring harness. Then you can raise and lower the wheel and listen for the noise. You may just need to lube that threaded rod.

Without breaking the covers, is there a write up on how to remove them? Do they just pop off?

I took mine into the dealer specifically for this reason and he told it's due a bad bushing in the steering column. The whole column would need to be replaced. Since my car is out of warranty he tried having Infiniti replace it under a charity case but they denied. They tried to oil the bushing but it didn't work. He said to turn the feature off but I love the feature so I just deal with the noise.

There are some pics at the bottom of the post I linked to. There is one screw on the bottom cover in a hole under the steering column. There are two screws behind the steering wheel you will see when you turn the wheel right and left. Then the covers pop off pretty easy and you just unplug the switch.

Pulled the column apart and lubed it up. All good after 4 days in the Oklahoma heat. hopefully it will stay.
