steering wheel radio control install

i just bought a 2012 SE-R with no radio controls on the steering wheel. i want to install the oem one but i cant find any info on how easy it is to install. like is it plug and play or is there some wiring/rewiring to do? the one thread i found in here is over a year and a half old and he used the wrong year controls too. i cant believe im the only one wanting to do this

Is there even a blank spot where the controls would be or just nothing there?

yeah there is a blank panel . you have to replace both sides to get the radio controls cause they are tied in together. what sad is the cheaper models like the SR and SL have it available if not standard.

yeah im gonna have to get the right part number first too. courtesyparts.com has no idea what part number i need nor do they have a pic to confirm. so its gonna be a trip to my local nissan for a part #.

i have the 2011 FSM from in here and it shows all the pin outs. i just gotta print em all up and translate the wiring diagram. im hoping its similar to the way i had to do my 2011 altima 2.5S. there was a how to from another Nissan forum that showed how to do it and it worked like a charm

Easiest way to order the parts from the dealer might be to find one in the lot with the options you want to add and use that vin number lol.

i got the pin out locations and wire colors down on the stereo side. i took off the steering column on the car and couldnt find the plugs i need to tap into like on the altima. i still have to take off the airbag and look at the plugs in there. i have the pin out numbers but the FSM diagram just shows the spiral cable diagram
