Hello all, So I been into 240's for a good 6+ years and have owned many. I finally took the splash and stopped buying beat up junk and spent the alot more extra then I would have wanted and bought a Clean fully OEM untouched and company maintained s14.

With this big purchase I decided to only grace it with worthy parts !

This leads me to my question. On the past 3 240's I have owned I used this little cheap china knock off... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...333d3

I was wondering if someone out there can lead me in the direction of what it was knocked off of? I love the wheel and it fits me really well.. If I can't find a true version of it I'll probably end up with the knock off again.

For the less than 50$ price tag the quality has always been really good and I have had no issues with them at all. I had one for over 3 years before.

Though I have never been in a wreck and gave it face (LOL) So I do not know if it poses any safety hazard.

Also, I found this on Super Streets website its very close to the knock off but I do not like all that embroidery stuff on it. I'm a real clean no brand name showing kind of guy lol.. I even take the badges off my electronics LOL

Thanks for helping me out guys, and I'll get pics of the car up as soon as I can. This is my First S14 and my first nice car with AC!! So I'm pretty stoked right now.

Thank You very much..!That looks exactly like it minus the holes which liked but no big issue there. The sparco one you posted is exactly what I was trying to find.

Question is if I buy a ebay knock of if I am really losing anything? I had one 3 years and it ever even showed signs of wear.

What is your guy's take?

Honestly, steering wheels don't do much other than help steer the car. If you get a knock off that works fine and fits perfectly, who cares? It's a wheel and you like it.

Not like steering the car is a big deal or anything..

haha but yeah 35 bucks is pretty cheap so not really a loss if you don't like it.

Well, I have used the 35$ many times before this would be my 4th one. They all felt good to me and I liked them. As for all my other cars knock offs never touched my engine bay lol that's just like sticking a gay man In a onsen. Lmao not a good idea only bad can come of it!

I think I made my mind up I'm just going to say screw it and buy the knock off I have loved them and it's not like Im going to use the shifty hub that comes with it. I'm going to get a name brand quick release.

Also does anyone know if NRG wheels and hubs are good quality. They make a deep dish that looks like what I want for 90$

Omp a reputial (is this even spelled right! Lol) brand?Because nrg or them seems to be where I'll end up. My only real worries are buyingfrom someone that charges 100+ and is the same quality as the 35$ one.

LOL at all the comments in this thread, there is a huge difference between a crappy ebay wheel and a real wheel as well as hubs etc.

If you have never owned a nice setup obviously you are not experienced enough to contrast between the two.

You get what you pay for
