You will need a hub, quick release, and steering wheel.

Well, if you want to go the cheap way, get something like a circuit sports quick release. Cheap hubs are available too. Although I wouldn't suggest cheaping out on ANY steering components (even the wheel), what's the point of a nice quick release if you're getting a junk wheel? I would wait and save up a little for a dencent wheel.

Btw, here's a link. They have wheels, hubs, qr's etc....

yes you need the hub and the quick release

nrg short hub to nrg v2 quick release. with a none concave wheel the distance is relatively the same as a stock wheel.

Hey, don't mean to thread-jack either, but if I buy the NRG short hub and the NRG steering wheel will I be good to go without using the quick release? Also, will I be able to use my horn still?thanks

It says even with the quick release and hub, you may still lose your horn.

if you are smart enough to hook up 2 wires then yes your horn will work with the QR.

When you hit your turn sig, then make your turn. It should turn the sig off, or cancel it. Sometimes when changing the wheel and hub, it doesnt cancel your turn sig.

It a damn nuisance, it's mandatory from the factory for a reason. Because you can turn, the sig wont turn off, and someone might think your still turning. Then cut to the inside to pass you, and hit you.

I also have a question. When you take the steering wheel out, can someone steal your car using a wrench to steer the car? Also, can a thief just use another NRG wheel, attach it your hub, and steal your car?

well, the quick release is round and someone would have to weld the really large wrench to the hub and then hot wire the car to steal it

But I guess another QR might work on your hub?? And they do sell the QR locks, to put over the steering column.

i have the nrg short hub and yes the turn signal cancel works but without a qr the horn will not be able to work the button cannot go on because of the bolt that holds the hub on. if you dont want a qr then just go with a standard size hub. also ive seen people drive a car with no wheel with just the quick release hub and there hands so i would recomend the hub lock and also make sure to lock the stearing wheel in place before you pull the wheel off
