hey guys...

when i first bought my car back in august of '02 i didnt really know how to take care of it... i always left the sunroof open at night thinking that its ok... bc i wanted to air out the funky smell that was left behind by the last owner... actually when cleaning out my car one day i found a crack pipe X( ... but thats another story... but ummm so i left the sunroof open a few nights... and the next day whenever i went to school the steering wheel rubber would come off and id have black hands... its like sticky and pretty gross... i finally figured that it was the moisture from the night.... my headlight switch would also do the same thing... when i would signal id find that id have a noticable mark on my fingers... so i got tired of it and got a steering wheel cover that made me loose "feel" for the wheel... id also have to remember to close my sunroof before i go to sleep as well... recently i took off the steering wheel cover thing and remember how nice the steering wheel felt =)... was just wondering if you guys had the same problems... in the future id hope to get a momo steering wheel or something... i have no air bags so thats not a problem and i dont know how to use or even use my cruise control...

thanks for reading... and if you post... KUDOS for you ! hahaha

I have the same thing in my Stanza. Seems to happen most when it is left in the sun.. there is some sort of ligth rubber coating that just rubs off and leaves my hands lightly colored and smelling like rubber. Same thing happend to the Auto gearshift in my old Toyota Camry.. Sucks.. makes the interior feel like you are ghetto cruzin. I dont have any advice for you, but at least your not alone.
