I'm on my 4th Infiniti and every one I've owned has had the leather slowly crumble off the steering wheels. I have also owned Honda, Nissan, Chevy, and Lexus and never a problem with any of those. I use only Mothers leather cleaner and conditioner. What's up with Infiniti wheels? am I the only one with this problem?

I've seen pix of other cars with that problem. My Maxima was fine after 7 years/158k and both my G's are fine after 50k and 60k miles.

Use leather conditioner on a regular basis.
