Steering Wheel Knocking Sound...

Hey Guys,

Interesting problem for you. I just noticed this, and maybe it's b/c i'm sensitive once I get my car back...

When I drive at around 10km/hr and turn my wheel left, then right, then left, I hear a knocking sound. I think it's the front right wheel.

Now, my steering is taut, no weird aftershocks over bumps, and everything seems great, except for the knock.

The knock is pretty quiet, I need to turn off the radio and AC to hear it...I know i'm a freak, but could this problem be serious?

I've been hearing a sound like that for years... everyone has said its "normal." If anyone knows what it is I'd be interested too.

I also get the click click sound from qx4. I tired it with car stopk. I can hear the click click sound when turning wheel to left; but nothing when I turned right. Any ideas what's wrong? Thanks..

Me as well. Only turning left...

From the sounds of it...I think it's normal? I can sometimes hear it going over bumps in the road...

We do have speed sensitive rack and pinion. It's probably just that system being noisy. I would say it's normal, no worries.
