steering wheel issues

i had steering problems awhile back. i may have damaged the splines on either the steering column or the steering wheel.

currently i'm trying to replace the steering the wheel and wanted to know if the steering wheel is the same from 1990-1995.

also which is more likely to become damaged, the steering wheel or the steering column. sorry, i don't have a big enough security torx socket to remove the steering wheel and see.

90-93 wheel different than 94-96. not saying you can't use an early wheel on your car, but they are different.
