Steering Wheel Controls and iPod Connector

Hello,

I am looking to replace the stock stereo with something that has A2DP. But before I do anything, I'd like to find out if a new stereo would be able to hook up to the steering wheel controls and the iPod connector. Has anyone done this and know if this will work?

And which unit should I look into purchasing? I have the SL Sport right now so everything but the NAV system and XM which I'd like to add in.
