I believe you can just do a "pull" off - disconnect your battery before doing, this way you de-activate your airbag. The airbag can't deploy without power...

The controls are screwed to the bracket on the back of the airbag. Just disconnect the batter, and then pop the two screw covers on the back of the wheel, once the screws are out the airbag is free from the wheel. You can then disconnect the airbag harness and take it all inside the house, or you can unscrew the buttons from the airbag. Its really easy to do. My car didn't come with the radio buttons, and i bought them off ebay and installed. Trust me, its very easy.

Everyone's welcome. Just for more information, on another forum, someone with a sedan tried to do the same as I, and add radio controls to their car, and they apparently aren't pre-wired for them. I don't know how on earth anyone would be able to tell if they are or aren't, but for anyone who might want to add them for future reference, it may or may not work. Mine work, not exactly as they should, but its still better than nothing.

I was never able to find a part number to order them separate from the airbag, but a set showed up on ebay and I jumped on them. I got a bluetooth button set, and obviously I don't have bluetooth so all the functions work just not on the correct corresponding buttons. Well everything but volume up. I have source, volume down, Seek/Tune up and down and, mute.

I'm still happy that at least I have something that works. I have the nissan ipod kit and to change songs you use the tune buttons on the radio, not the seek, so its quite an annoying reach to the far side of the radio just to change tracks. I sound lazy I know.

If anyone needs any further help don't be afraid to ask. Oh and the cruise control and radio switches are in-line on the same harness, they aren't separate units.
