the plastic caps on my hardbody have broken off and now when you turn it to the stop it will make the poppin noise. does antone know of a good fix? i was thinking of putting a dab of grease on them but i thought that the bolts would push through the grease and continue making the noise

Yes you can grease the steering stops, but this part is not that expensive to replace. You might even be able to locate a used set from the wrecking yard D21/Hardbody casualty.
